Seeing how sweet and friendly he was, a few neighbors banded together, determined to find him the loving home he deserved.They reached out to their local rescue, Greenpoint Cats, and the volunteers sprang into action. He chomped on grass like he meant businessGreenpoint Cats"Sprawled out like a king on the lawn in Fort Greene Park, clearly waiting for someone to recognize his greatness," Greenpoint Cats shared.Thanks to a community of compassionate individuals, the lawn cat, affectionately known as Coach Lou Turfman, finally found safety in a foster home with all the comforts and treats he could ever want. Greenpoint CatsCoach Lou quickly settled into his new space, curling up in his cozy bed. With his youthful appearance, it was a surprise to discover he was twelve years old. He greeted everyone with such poise and friendliness as if he'd never met a stranger."He's social, confident, and endlessly sweet." Though he has a heart condition, it's manageable, and with the right care and people who understand his routine, he can live a happy, healthy long life.He has "an open-door policy for pets and guests—he's a real people person." He was perfectly content to have a canine companion admiring and following him around.
